It's a variety of Green Shield Bug, also known as a "Stink Bug" due to the noxious fluid they, er...crap...when alarmed.
The reason this one looks different from the bigger, all green ones you might be more farmiliar with is beacuse it is a youngster. There are several varieties of GSB in the UK, and they go though different stages of development and patterning before reaching maturity.
