As if life wasn't difficult enough at the moment, we have now acquired what appears to be a lost cat. He spent Saturday wandering up and down the street peering into windows. One of our neighbours took him in and fed him (ravenous apparently) and I'm not quite sure how, but we have ended up with him. Unfortunately he is an entire male and the RSPCA confirmed he is not chipped. They are full due to the time of year, so we've put up posters. In the meantime our kitties are not very happy at all.
He is a beautiful boy, very very friendly and lovely nature. We'll check the local vet tomorrow to see if they recognise him ... in the meantime, if anyone from Sheffield recognises him let me know !
He is a lovely looking boy, most likely his "owners" (I use the term loosely) have gone away for the holidays and didn't have the decency to arrange care for him.
ReplyDeleteThey do not deserve him, hopefully you can find him a new and loving home. If you were closer to the Lake District . . . .
... at this moment in time I am so stressed out that I could make my OH drive to the Lake District ...
ReplyDeleteOwner might have had an accident or be in hospital.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried asking the local postman if he recognises the cat?
Local radio and newspapers can often be helpful too.
Oh Michelle, don't do that - the roads are way too much of a mess. Asking the postman is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteooo postman .. that's a good idea !
ReplyDeletekittie has gone to a new home - hopefully a forever home with a lovely lady who has a black and white cat and a little yorkshire terrier ... fingers crossed for the little fella ... we got quite attached to him in the few days we had him and I feel quite sad now that he has gone. His new brother is called Dexter and I think he is going to be called Sinister ... quite a nice pair huh :)
